Students explored the importance of knots and ropes in daily life and human history. They learned that knot tying is both a practical life skill and a discipline that requires patience and repeated practice. Through the Magic Knots training activity, students practiced step-by-step shoelace tying using the “magic knot” method and we collected information about the importance of this skills then, made an infographic on Canva.
The learning process was hands-on and collaborative. Students practiced tying their own shoelaces, aimed to succeed independently, and repeated the skill multiple times to build confidence. Peer support was encouraged — students guided and helped each other while learning.
By the end of the activity, students strengthened fine motor skills, persistence, cooperation, and self-reliance, while gaining a useful everyday skill they can apply in real life.
